Flickerfest 2019

Eccentric, stimulating, unpredictable – in under 20 minutes? Tell em they’re dreamin…

Or, head down to the 28th Annual Flickerfest at the Bondi Pavilion and see for yourself. It takes a pretty talented group of legends to create such thought-provoking content in a mere 20 minutes, but such are the talents of this year's Flickerfest superstars.

For 10 days under the summery Bondi stars, Flickerfest will showcase a line-up of 200 short films (from a whopping 2,700 entries) showcasing directors, writers and producers from both Australia and around the world. Premiering in Sydney before taking off across the country, film buffs everywhere can catch some of the best emerging talent in the biz - cold beer in hand with the southerly on its way.

Whether it’s lols you’re after, a trusty rom-com or the classic coming-of-age, this year’s Flickerfest will have you spoilt for choice. BUT, choices are scary. If you trust your good mates at YH, check out our top picks and prepare to be wildly entertained:
