After launching our Remastered Series of pre-loved YH beers with our old mate Real Ale in June, we’re back for round two with another fan favourite from the archives. A wildly popular beer during its initial release, on name alone, this beer was always destined for a double life. WHAT IS DOUBLETOWNER?

Originally brewed as a Brewers B-Side in celebration of our 7th birthday back in 2019, Doubletowner was born from the genius idea of brewing Newtowner… but double! That is; double the malt, double the hops, double the Aussie Pale Ale!

WHAT does DOUBLETOWNER taste like?

Doubletowner truly is Newtowner squared! Coming in at a hearty 7.5% ABV, the beer is massively hoppy, deep, rich and dangerously smooth to sip. Taste-wise, a complex spice and berry aroma plays across the strong, malty undertones which linger long on the palate, first with sweetness which quickly becomes refreshing bitterness. True to its original form, Searlzy has described this fresh batch of Doubletowner as an “absolute assault on your senses” and one that all Newtowner drinkers should experience.

WHERE CAN I GET IT?

Originally served in long necks fit for boozy arvos in Camperdown Park, the Remastered release of Doubletowner is only available on tap at select venues for a very limited time. Find your nearest below!
