Download Festival 2019

Download Festival ‘19 graced Aussie shores last week. We were there, horns high and Metal Bus in tow, as 30 thousand tribes and sub-cultures gathered for the heavy metal festival in Sydney and Melbourne. A seamlessly chilled festival, contrary to the thrashing guitar and raucous bass blaring from every speaker in sight.

Bands honoured Ozzy Osbourne with belting covers at every turn (Sabbath's "Paranoid" a clear favourite), while the return of Mary's Hell's Kitchen kept beer bellies full all day. As the sun went down, crowds united to cheers the legend himself - Slaaaaayer - as he smashed out a 90-minute set for his last ever Aussie performance.

We had our mates Yeah Rad capture the day, check out some highlights below.
