Best Served Loud VIC Live Music Series

Best Served Loud.

A serving suggestion, a mentality & the title of our live music series which launched in Victoria this year.

Aimed at showcasing the ~schweet~ local music scene in VIC, Best Served Loud visited our all-time favourite venues each month for a free party featuring live music and cheap beers. When it came to billing, the idea was simple: couple emerging artists with higher profile bands, giving the smaller bands a chance to play to a larger crowd, and more established acts a chance to play in intimate venues.

Kicking off in February at Fitzroy institution and haven for rock & roll, Labour In Vain with Dumb Punts & VertigoBest Served Loud followed up with slacker-fuzz band Jade Imagine and indie darling Gena Rose Bruce at Tramway Hotel in March. April came next with singer/songwriter Jimmy Kyle of Chasing Ghosts topping the bill with Clowns' Hanny J & singer/producer/all-round legend Luke Yeoward on support duties at The Standard Hotel.

The month of May called for an extra special edition. With Good Beer Week upon us, we decided to take the infamous Rock & Roll Circus on the road to debut in Melbourne for our May edition of Best Served Loud. Featuring Sloan PetersonChrissie Aubry (Batz), Ben Marwe (Bad//Dreems), Jae Laffer (The Panics) & stacks more performing classic rock & roll covers, backed by the YH house band - Monte & Elliott of The Delta RiggsJack Moffitt of The Preatures & Adam Della Grotta. Spirits were high as punters piled into Northcote Social Club on a Wednesday night and witnessed one of our biggest Melbourne shows to this day.

This month, we're #pinching ourselves to have one of the most exciting bands to come out of Melbourne this year headlining our final Best Served Loud show. Yep, it's Pinch Points. Joined by gritty punk-heroes The Tropes and garage-band Kill Bell for a sweaty rock show at Brunswick's Whole Lotta Love this Friday, November 22. We'll be there, serving it loud & probably a few tinnies at that.
