You asked for it, so we brewed it.We’re so proud to be introducing you to the newest member of the Newtowner family. A mid-strength Australian Pale Ale that brings all the flavour, character and crowd-frothability of the original, just with a gentler touch at 3.5% ABV.
It’s still proudly brewed in Newtown. Still made to serve the people. Just crafted for the moments when you want to take it easy, without going without.
So, Why 3.5? Because One Newtowner Was Never Enough.
Over the last decade, Newtowner has become a bit of a legend. It’s been the beer in your hand at gigs, footy games, street parties and Sunday sessions. But as times change, so do drinking habits. After surveying thousands of you, one message came through loud and clear: you're drinking more moderately, but you're not willing to sacrifice taste - and we wouldn’t want you to.
So we didn’t compromise. We created Another Newtowner - one you can take to the long lunch, the BBQ, the back-to-backs at your favourite venue, or even (cheekily) your midday meeting. Same beer, new pace.
What’s Inside the Tin?
A classic Australian Pale Ale - only mid-strength. Brewed with Aussie hops and local malts, Newtowner 3.5 lands with citrus and stone fruit notes, a smooth, sessionable body, and that signature crisp finish you know from the OG. This isn’t a watered-down version. It’s a thoughtfully brewed beer that tastes like Newtowner and drinks like your new best mate.
