Young Henrys & AppleJack introduce ‘hazy love’ LIMITED RELEASE BEER
We’re thrilled to announce our beer collaboration with Applejack – Hazy Love. This tropical-style brew is all about bringing the good vibes of Sydney’s summer to life, created with our community in mind, because making brews for the people is what we’re all about!
Crafted with toasted coconut (lovingly roasted at Forrester’s), this Hazy Pale is a nod to sun-soaked afternoons and warm breezes.
The Hazy New England IPA (NEIPA) is as cloudy as a fresh Piña Colada, with smooth, creamy vibes and big hits of citrus and coconut, thanks to USA hops and the fresh face on the block, 'Krush.' With its soft, full texture, it’s best enjoyed fresh – so don’t wait too long to get your hands on it!
- Donovan Binks, Group Beverage Manager
Hazy Love is a limited release, available at Forrester’s Surry Hills, Taphouse Darlinghurst, and SoCal Neutral Bay. Get in early and be the first to try it at Forrester’s with a bar shout kicking off at 3pm on Friday, 18th October, marking the start of Sydney Beer Week.
This brew is for the people, made by locals who care about crafting something special for the community.

Q+A With stocko
Q. What sparked the collaboration between YH and Applejack?
A. I think we’ve always wanted to do something like this together. We’ve been working with Applejack for over 10 years now, and have always tried to look towards fun and creative ways of partnering up. With Sydney Beer Week making its return – it felt like the perfect time to finally team up on a brew.
Q. How did you decide on the flavours?
A. Sydney is starting to heat up, and we wanted to lure summer in early with a big, tropical-style beer. Adding a heap of coconut to a robust Hazy Pale felt like a perfect way to do this.
Q. Can you tell us a bit about the process that went into making the beer?
A. Coconut can be a little tricky to brew with, and it needs to be toasted to get the most out of that flavour profile. Thankfully our mates at Forrester’s were able to use their monster-sized ovens to toast all 18kgs to perfection. We added that straight to the mash in (at the start of the brew) to get the most out it.
Q. How do you recommend enjoying this beer?
A. As a huge fan of the Big Yorkie (at Forrester’s), I think this beer will match perfectly with that dish. Sign me up for a dozen of those pairings. Equally, I think anything fresh and spicy would be pretty good mates with Hazy Love as well.
