Remastered Series: None more blacker
After launching our Remastered Series of pre-loved YH beers with our old mate Real Ale in June, we’re back for round three with another cult classic.
Friends, say hello again to None More Blacker, a brew that’s as bold as its namesake. And yes, it’s a cheeky nod to Spinal Tap—because just like their amps, this beer cranks things up to eleven!
WHAT IS None more blacker?
This Barrel-Aged Schwarzbier (Lager) was crafted using a beautifully simple, premium German malt bill, noble hop varieties Spalt and Styrian Wolf, and just a touch of lactose for that extra smooth creaminess. Aged in barrels that once held all kinds of delicious spirits, wines, and beers, this brew is bold, dark, and mysterious.
WHAT does None more blacker taste like?
If you’ve ever had one of our Young Henrys dark lagers, you’ve got a bit of an idea of what None More Blacker brings to the table—but trust us when we say, when people ask, “how much darker could this beer be?” we aren’t exaggerating. With notes of dark fruit, black leather, tannic raisins, rum, and port, this dark beauty gives way to a surprisingly sessionable and balanced black lager. At 6.66% ABV, it’s safe to say there might be some darker forces at work here.
