This year, we’ll be entirely powered by the sun!

Together with our mates at Pingala, we’re set to install our second solar farm atop our Newtown brewery, meaning all our electricity needs will be 100% solar powered.

We recently reached out to our local community to offer the chance to invest in the solar farm, and within 24 hours, received $60,000 in investment pledges — absolutely mind blowing!

This community-run solar project is the second to grace our Newtown warehouse roof, with the first installed back in 2016. We raised a whopping $17,500 in just 10 minutes from you — our incredible community investors. Since then, our solar panels have provided a third of our total power needs. With 50% of our energy already coming via the grid care of renewable energy company ENGIE – and the second solar farm set to be installed in the next month, we’re ready to make that number one hundred.

This next lot of solar panels will be installed in the coming months, and we’ll be having a celebration once it’s all done and dusted.
