Our Brewing Scholarship is back for 2023
Our Young Henrys Brewing Scholarship IS BACK FOR 2023!
Enrolments are now open for TAFE NSW Brewing Course (Certificate III Food Processing) and we're encouraging all female, female-identifying and non-binary beer lovers to enrol and get the chance for their entire tuition paid for by YH.
Alongside this, we'll be offering quarterly mentoring from our own in-house experts in Head Distiller Carla Daunton, Head Brewer Jesse Searls or, Rene Delmas who heads up the Young Henrys lab.
PLUS we’ll throw in a pair of Blundstone work boots and YH merch to round out the package.
Despite women being the world's OG brewers, nowadays the global brewing industry is fiercely dominated by men. This scholarship aims to create more opportunities in the brewery industry for women, and to showcase the unique and diverse career paths in the world of brewing and distilling.
Last year's successful applicant, Laura Nosworthy, was the first ever recipient of the scholarship, with the local legend making the most of her experience according to Head Distiller Carla Daunton:
"Laura was a pleasure to have as the first recipient of our brewing scholarship this past year. Her enthusiasm to take full advantage of the opportunity was wonderful as she engaged with us and actively sought out learning opportunities here. I am looking forward to meeting this year's recipient and to witness the continued growth of the careers of these high calibre brewers."
Applications for the scholarship open on March 8, 2023 for female/female-identifying/non-binary students who have registered in the TAFE Certificate III Food Processing Course 2023. Register for the course today and watch this space for further application details.
We look forward to brewing with you soon!
